2004 BMW R1100S Boxercup Replika
ABS
Heated Grips
13,600 miles - 12K mile check completed
Limited Edition!  1 of only 300
Clean Title in hand
Stock except for a K&N air filter and Z-Technic Canister Relocation Kit
Asking $6,900 OBO

There is a picture of it in the galleries under "Alex".  The bike is also pictured in my avatar.

I bought the bike wrecked with about 7K miles on it.  Replaced or fixed everything that was bent on it with new and original BMW parts and I have ridden the bike for over 6K miles since then.  Great machine, draws lots of looks!

Make me an offer before riding season begins or I might regret putting it up for sale!!!

January 23, 2006 2004 BMW R1100SABS BxrCpReplka 2-Cylinder 4-Stroke 1085cc Suggested Retail Value $11580 The Kelley Blue Book Suggested Retail Value is representative of dealers' asking prices and is the starting point for negotiation between a consumer and a dealer. This Suggested Retail Value assumes that the unit has been fully reconditioned and is in excellent condition. Mileage/condition and additional equipment may have a substantial impact on the value shown above. This value also takes into account the dealers' profit, costs for advertising, sales commissions and other costs of doing business. The final sale price will likely be less depending on the unit's actual condition, popularity, type of warranty offered and local market conditions.

are your sure you want to let it go for just $7000????

I'm not looking to make a profit on the bike.  I had fun rebuilding it, I enjoyed riding it, but it's time to move on to new projects.  My stupidity is your gain! Smile [:)]

That's sounds like a good offer.  If I only knew if you're going to live another 116.5 years?  Let me think about it...

Do you still have it?  I may be interested.  I've always loved that bike.  Any major repairs done to get her back into shape after the wreck?  Anything that would effect the bike mechanically down the road that you know of?  Let me check on a couple of things and I will let you know how serious I am about the bike.  I don't want to dangle a carrot in front of you, but my wife will probably kill me for even thinking about buying it right now.  I would also need to sell the GPZ1100 to free up some cash.  Any interest in a partial trade.  KBB on the GPZ is about $3300.  It has 28k miles and has been serviced regularly.  I have only added heated grips, bar risers and a couple of aftermarket shields.  Nothing has been done to it mechanically but valve adjustments and oil changes and the like.  Pic attached.

Oh yeah, is it possible to attach BMW hard bags to the Boxer Cup Replica like the standard R1100S?

Later,

Chris

Chris,

I changed out the front fairing stay and the rear subframe, replaced the rear brake line, left front handguard (turn signal fairing), and license plate holder.  All brand new BMW parts.  I had to glue the left front side panel in a spot that is covered by the handguard - you'd never be able to tell!  Put on new tires, changed oil, new sparkplugs, checked valve clearance, did a throttlebody sync and rode it for about 4,000 miles.  Then did the 12,000 mile check.  I had a BMW technician ride the bike and he claimed it felt like any other S he'd ever rode (he did not know that the bike had been wrecked).  I couldn't tell, because it is the first BMW I have owned.

No, I'm not interested in a trade.  I have 3 bikes and I'm trying to scale down.

Yes, the hard bags fit like they do on any other R1100S.  The big difference on the BCR is that it has a 180 rear tire, slightly higher in the back, clip-ons mounted below triple clamp, a bellypan and no center stand.  If that's important to you, you can always take off the bellypan and mount a center stand.

Let your wife see it in person - that'll close the deal!  My girl loves the looks of the bike!

Do you think that the wreck had any effect on the drive shaft/ telelever?  I have heard horror stories of shafts breaking on the BMW's.  That is about the only thing that would concern me about the bike.  It sounds as if it wasn't really damaged too badly.  I would like to check it out.  Possible this weekend?  Maybe we could meet up and ride a little on Sunday afternoon.  Were exactly do you live?

I may have a buyer for the GPZ.  A guy at work is interested.  I'm checking some insurance rates and looking over finances.  By the way, if you could give me the VIN number to get an accurate insurance quote it would help.  You can email it to me at cworley5150@charter.net     I called my agent today and they had like 5 or 6 different listings for the R1100S.  So the VIN would help me get hard numbers.  I will need to carry full coverage on it.

Sad [:(]  Well, although I would like to take the Boxer off your hands Alex, I had a long talk with the GPZ tonight.  Finished putting on her new shoes and I just can't bear the thoughts of letting her go.  I can't afford both bikes right now, so I will have to pass on the BMW.  Someday I'll have one.  Hope you don't think I'm too much of a flake.  I didn't want to give you false hopes of selling your bike.  I just want to keep the GPZ a little longer.

Hope to meet you in person and ride together soon.

Chris

Chris,
no problem, I'll probably break down and cry if someone actually wants to buy it!  I really like the bike and don't mind keeping it a while longer.  Be warned: if you see it in person you will want it Big Smile [:D]
I'd love to ride with you sometime soon, but I'll be out of the country for a week and then I'm starting on a job hunt.  I'm afraid that my riding will have to suffer quite a bit this season Crying [:'(]
Cheers!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I decided to take the Boxercup to a dealer who will take it in on consignment.

Once I take it to the dealer, I won't have any control over the sale price anymore.  The way he's talking it will be way more than what I'm asking for it.

So if anybody is the least bit interested or knows someone who might be, please contact me within the next week or so and steal this baby from me for a mere $6,900!

Thanks for looking,

Alex.
