Weather is supposed to be nice this weekend,
Jeff and I managed 400 miles last weekend even though we didn't leave Beckley until 10am....
Maybe this weekend we can leave around 8ish and get 400miles in and have some time to take pictures.
I was thinking maybe ride RT16North up toward Harrisville up near Parkersburg.....we've been up to Glenville on 16 before, the trip was average best I recall.
We've basically run out of local roads, roads to the east near Lewisburg, to the north near Snowshoe, to the west near Logan and to the south near Tazewell....so we need to find some new roads, unfortunately that requires putting down some miles first to get there.
Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone have someplace they'd like to go? Some strange piece of Americana they want to see?
We've still got the MC Playground to hit

rt16s to 58w to damascus / then we could go south( motorcycle playground) or north from there to rt 80
rt20 to rt15 to rt19 to rt33 w (rt47?) (rt33 and rt47 were
suggested routes).. it looks like theres a bunch of good roads between
rt33 and rt50

okay i looked at the map today and came up with what looks to be one of the rides of the summer..
- rt52 south to wytheville
- rt21 from wytheville rt21 merges with rt221
- rt221 to the BRP at deep gap ,.NC
- BRP to blowing rock at rt321
- rt321 north through boone, nc to rt421
- rt421 to mountain city
- then we have an option ( depends on the time )
- stay on rt421 to shady valley to rt133
- rt133 to damascus or rt91 from mountain city if we are running short on time (both come out in damascus, va) at rt58
- rt58 from damascus to volney at rt16
- rt16 north to rt42 or stay on rt16 to tazewell
this will be a long ride so we will have to meet at the shady spring mini storage at 8:45 and head out by 9:00
hows does this sound???????

I just got in from todays ride (around 9:15). it was just me, dave and
geneva. we rode 327 miles today. (roanoke, BRP, wytheville ) it was a
wild life andventure today. we seen all kinds of animals today. i will
share some of the pics a little later...
i have to adjust my chain in the morning. i stopped to put air in
my tire and found that the idiot who changed my tires left the adjuster
loose this time and the chain is way too tight. i couldn't break the
nut loose so i had to ride from roanoke with the chain too tight.
so i don't think i will be able to do the planned ride for tomorrow..
any suggestions on what route you would like to do? ..

she's adjusted.. but i had to get a 4ft metal pipe and use it as a breaker bar.. see ya there......
