Thinking about taking a spur of the moment trip.

Anybody interested in going? I know I have never rode with anyone on the group yet. It just hasn't been possible with scheduling conflicts so far. I don't ride too fast, don't drink (well not when riding), wear appropriate gear, don't fart a lot (not so you can hear anyway).
I am throwing this out there for anyone interested. I'm thinking of leaving Thursday and hitting the Blue Ridge Parkway and riding it up to the Skyline Drive and then heading back via whatever route looks interesting. I will be meeting up with family at a reunion on Saturday at Lake Sherwood. I think it is in Greenbrier county.
My wife is getting uncomfortable with me going on multi-day solo rides. I think we have watched too many slasher movies lately. She is concerned about safety issues. Anybody is welcome to come along. Probably will camp out Thursday and Friday nights.
Later.
Chris
No matter where you go, there you are!
If my lawn mower only sounded like a VFR, I'd mow the grass a hell of a lot more.

sounds like fun but i have to work thur, fri and sat (1/2day) i will
offer a suggestion of some roads rt33 from harrisonburg through
brandywine to seneca rocks - from seneca to rt250 over to monterey -
from monterey take rt 220to covington ( stop at the falling springs
overlook ) take rt18 out of covington to paint bank,vs to rt311 take
rt3110 back out to white sulfur springs and 92 back up to lake
sherwood..
tell your wife she's a smart person. you should always try to ride with somebody ( with some gear)
http://www.wvsporttouring.com/CommunityServer/forums/82/ShowPost.aspx
you can find jackets under $100 on here and pants on here for under $150 9 even cheaper if you shop all the sights..

I'm out of town right now....I don't think my dogs would care much about being left for longer, and I should really work Thurs and Fri since I haven't worked any this week.
